Miami, FL — July 12, 2024 — The ASI Inter-America Division is finalizing plans for its 2024 Annual Convention, scheduled to take place in Panama City, Panama, from August 14–17, 2024. With more than 300 delegates expected from across the region, this year’s convention is themed “Empowered to Serve”, reflecting ASI’s continued focus on mobilizing lay professionals for mission and ministry.
The convention will open on Wednesday, August 14, with a keynote address by a renowned speaker, and will feature a series of spiritual, strategic, and inspirational sessions over the four-day event. Attendees will benefit from powerful worship services, networking opportunities, and practical training sessions designed to enhance their effectiveness in service.
A number of cultural and recreational activities have also been planned. On Thursday, August 15, participants will take a guided tour of the historic Panama Canal, and on Friday, August 16, they will visit Allbrook Mall, the largest shopping center in Central America.
Special attention is being given to hospitality and dietary needs. A designated coordinator is working with the hotel to ensure buffet-style, all-you-can-eat meals are tailored to include vegan and vegetarian options, meeting the dietary preferences of attendees.
On Sabbath morning, two of ASI’s longest-serving directors will be formally honored for their outstanding contributions to both the English and Spanish-speaking regions. Later that afternoon, a panel of respected lay leaders and pastors will explore strategies for strengthening collaboration in advancing the mission of the church.
The event will culminate in a grand international concert, showcasing top musical talent from Panama and guest artists from across the Inter-America Division—bringing to a close what promises to be a spiritually uplifting and mission-focused gathering.
